The Philippine Air Force’s Tactical Operations Group (TOG) SULTAW conducted different training programs to test its effectiveness and readiness when calamity hits any part of the country.
The training involved Basic Life Support, Standard First Aid Training, Fire Prevention, Water Search and Rescue Training and participation in the 1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) CY-2018.
The activity was meant to enhance the interoperability skills of TOG SULTAW teams, enhance collaboration with other agencies, and gain insights from their expertise.
The TOG SULTAW also organized a response team tasked to help the residents of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi during calamities to reach out to those in need of immediate assistance.
Meanwhile, a medical team from PAF’s Wallace Air Station Medical Infirmary and Dental Personnel of the 1305th Dental Dispensary and the Poro Point Management Corporation’s (PPMC) Social Responsibility HELPS Program conducted free medical and dental services to 137 residents of Barangays San Francisco and San Agustin in San Fernando City, La Union from April 19 to 20.
The activity was supported by the La Union Provincial Government, PPMC, Department of Health, City Health Office, Lorma Colleges, Brgy Health Workers and Officials, and Philippine Air Force.
